I have requested some type of node editing feature direct within Artpath or an “auto find and highlight” feature that would identify such issue while inside Artpath.Īnother possible workaround that makes no real sense to me, but have used on more then one occasion add an extra node somewhere. It doesn’t take much of an overlap to cause issue within Artpath. In the past, I have discovered the “ever so slightest” overlap to cause “so much pain” with production. The following animation reflects an overlapping line segment. This can be an issue of the “export” filters from the outbound program or an “import” filter issue within Composer, and at times, a combination of both. However, imported clipart, some scanned objects, or files from other object based programs are at an elevated risk. If you created original vector based objects within Composer, this normally isn’t an issue. This, at times, will prevent a successful outline/inline within Composer as well (rare). The first one, overlapping line segments, can cause issues when attempting to apply a male or female toolpath within Artpath. First item is overlapping line segments within an object while the second is to simply add a node.

May not have any relevance to “this” particular situation, but will mention two things to consider for the future. Posted by Bob Gilliland (Member # 28) on Novem09:20 AM: I even tried different sizes and no luck. Steve, I have tried that before and most of the time that does work but this time the shapes won't outline in composer either. Posted by Tom & Kathy Durham (Member # 776) on Novem11:08 PM: Good luck and let us know how you make out Most of the time this works and why I can't tell you. It is such a small amount that for all intents and purposes it does not change the design but often it will solve the problem. What I do is go back in the original file and add a stroke or outline say. You must have cut lines assigned or the object will not even show in artpath. I have had the same problem from time to time and I can not tell you why it does that. We also have an Ar-400 and use both GA6.2 and Omega 1.56. Tom I am assuming that you are using artpath as your cam software. Posted by Steve Nuttle (Member # 2645) on Novem08:01 AM: Any suggestions? Need more info? Thanks - Tom Now I can type in new fonts or recreate by drawing over the logo with the pencil and all works.

When I went to put a male or female cut I'd get the message box. There were no open shapes, no edge colors and all objects were white vinyl. Saved this to 6.2 version and loaded it on my computer router. The last time I had scanned a logo with omega softway. Several times I have tried to put a cut on a letter, shape, with the box, "no outline produced", comes up.
